Whatever way you choose to contact us, you will speak with one of us directly; there are no non-professional "gatekeepers" or barriers between you and a therapist. Your relationship with a licensed mental health professional is completely confidential from the start.

A word about insurance: Several of our practitioners participate with Medicare and Tricare. Otherwise, we do not participate in any managed care plans, because managed care, when it comes to mental health care, only pays for what is basically crisis intervention. They tend to rely preferentially on psychotropic drugs, because medication is cheaper. Insurers have managed to eliminate paying for valid, effective treatment for mental health and substance problems by greatly restricting access to care. Many of our patients come to see us after they have attempted to get adequate care through their managed care plan, and found the limitations and restrictions (session limits, intrusions into privacy, treatment decisions being made by reviewers without professional training) to be frustrating and ineffectual. You should carefully check your policy, however, because some HMO and PPO plans do have out-of-network benefits that will reimburse some percentage of your costs for our services.
